If you will ask me, there are at least three (3) important steps that you need to do in order to be among the best and great event speakers. These steps are related to learning how to connect to people more effectively, crafting your own speech and building your reputation and credibility. We will explain all of these three one by one in the section below.
On the one hand, the first step is to build your credibility and reputation. I put this in the first step because these are both among the key factors for you to be considered as one of the best event speakers. If I were the organizer of any event, of course, I would choose a guest speaker who is famous in a good way, which means a person with unquestionable reputation and credibility. You may think that it is for a long run step, but nevertheless, it can be built and planned.
So, how are you going to build your reputation and credibility? In this light, this can actually be done in several ways to become among the great event speakers in your country or even just in your own locality. For me, starting to contribute significant innovations in your field or industry can be a great start. You must introduce yourself by like building your vitae in your own way. This can also be done being a master in the field that you are serving so that you will have unquestionable integrity when you are talking about that specific field.
On the other hand, the second step with be crafting your own speech. This is essential because some of the event speakers now do not create their own speech. This is because they now have their own secretary to the speech writing and the nitty-gritty of researching about the appropriate content. It would be best if you can do it on your own and do not rely too much from other people. After all, it would be you who will speak about it and not your secretary. Aside from that, the content of your speech would be more personal and intimate as well if you will do it by yourself.
Lastly, you must be able to learn to connect with your audience if you want to become among the great event speakers. This is because you are speaking before them in order to share something. It would only be completely useless even if you have the best speech content if you cannot even related to the people in front of you.
